The Story Of Chapel Lane Furniture

Hello.

About Chapel Lane Furniture

Good furniture starts with good craftsmanship. Jeffrey Knight founded Chapel Lane Furniture in 2020 to do what he loves most: designing and making handmade kitchens, fitted furniture and cabinetry, using traditional cabinet-making skills and carefully chosen materials.

Woodworking runs in the family. Jeffrey grew up learning from his father, making traditional wooden-cased clocks in the family business while studying Furniture Design and Cabinet Making at Suffolk College. Those early years taught him the precision and patience that still shape everything we make.

After college, Jeffrey joined a respected local joinery firm, working on notable projects including the restoration of Windsor Castle. In 2002, shortly after his daughter was born, he moved to a leading bespoke kitchen and furniture maker, where he spent many years designing, making and installing high-end fitted furniture. That experience eventually led him to start Chapel Lane.

Made in Suffolk, Made for You

Today, with more than 25 years of furniture making and joinery behind him, Jeffrey and the team design, make and fit every piece from our workshop in Little Cornard, Suffolk. We work with homeowners, architects and interior designers across Suffolk and beyond, creating bespoke kitchens, handmade cabinetry and made-to-measure furniture that is as practical as it is beautiful.

Every project starts with a conversation. Before we design anything, we take the time to understand your home, how you live in it and what you'd like it to become. Whether it's a traditional kitchen, fitted wardrobes, a dressing room, a home office or clever storage for an awkward corner, the aim is always the same: furniture that fits your space perfectly and is still being enjoyed for years to come.

Our reputation is built on honesty, quality and good old-fashioned craftsmanship. Because we design, make and install everything ourselves, you deal with the same small team from your first visit to the final fitting.

Thinking about a bespoke furniture project? We'd love to hear about it. Get in touch, or come and see us at our workshop and showroom in Little Cornard.
